Conceptual site model (CSM)

A CSM is a representation of all the information available about a soil contamination concern including contaminant sources, receptors, and exposure pathways. These are a vital tool for informing contaminated soil management decisions. Building these models is iterative and they become more detailed as more information is understood. CSMs should be described in words as well as graphically.
